On Friday, October 10, 2015, my brother and I went live on Cedar City’s KSUB Radio for a two-hour segment on the up-coming Utah UFO Festival. We were only going to stay an hour but received some amazing responses from callers who had many stories and experiences to share. It looks like Iron County has had its fair share of strange mysteries involving the UFO sightings, close encounters, and strange cattle mutilations. Most disturbing of the stories on the air came from local ranchers who have lost livestock in the recent past. The amount of cattle mutilation stories we heard about really surprised me for a local radio show. It’s not the most pleasant subject matter that I care to deal with but it’s a legitimate problem that cattleman have had to deal with, especially with the financial loss. It’s a problem often blamed on predators and goes unreported or investigated. I don’t care to discuss (in detail) what gets removed “surgically” from cows who have been died as a result of this grisly act but I will let investigative journalist, Linda M.
