Anomaly Conservatory and Utah Mufon Chapter Teaming for 2017 Utah UFO Fest

June 27, 2016 By Nathan Arizona 4 Comments

MUFON_Logo_RGB

We had an excellent turnout for a first-years inaugural UFO festival at Three Peaks Recreation area in Southern Utah and it was the first of its kind to ever happen in Cedar City, Utah. We had people travel from Northern Utah and out-of-state to show their  support for this beginning event. Over 250 people attended the fest including many locals from Cedar City and St. George, Utah. We are already in the planning stage for the 2017 Utah UFO Fest and will be partnering with the Utah Chapter of MUFON to help us on next year’s event. A date has not yet been set but we are planning for two full days of activities.

Robert Crowe, the new State Assistant Director for the Utah Chapter of Mufon, was at our event. Robert spoke on the podium to educate the public about the work of Mufon and his plans for Utah based UFO cases and research. Mufon became a founding sponsor of our event and a warm thank you is extended to their organization for the support in helping us make this event possible.

Travis Walton, a renowned alien abductee from Snowflake, Arizona, was the main focus speaker. His story sparked the major motion picture, Fire in the Sky, produced in 1993 recounting the harrowing ordeal that Travis endured in the presence of ETs and how he lived to tell about it. The Utah UFO Festival hosted an outdoor documentary screening directed by Jennifer Stein titled, “The True Story of Travis Walton,” which tells the truth about what happened versus the Hollywood version which became a horror movie. We owe a lot of gratitude and a big thanks to Jennifer Stein for allowing us to show her film and a big thank you goes out to Travis Walton for taking time out of his hectic schedule to show his physical support for our inaugural festival.

Some Thoughts on Tim Cretsinger, the Founder of Utah’s Great Groovefest

June 15, 2016 By Nathan Arizona Leave a Comment

Two major festivals were cancelled in Cedar City this year; both Groovefest and Fireroad, yet there is a new event in town! The Utah UFO Fest. Tim Cretsinger inspired and encouraged me (Nate Cowlishaw) to organize and start this UFO Fest. I would come into Groovacious and he would give me a ton of advice on building this if I were to go forward with it. He warned me repeatedly that I would need to commit to this for the long haul to build community trust and that it wouldn’t grow overnight. My grandfather always said, “Rome wasn’t built in a day!” I have to give proper credit to Tim for inspiring some of the motivation and commitment to going forward with this while not giving up on it as a dream. Bringing something like this to the community could take years, he emphasized… Thank you Tim, I will miss the few “small talk” conversations we had.

This is Literally A Woodstock-like UFO Fest!

June 14, 2016 By Nathan Arizona 2 Comments

To all Utah UFO Fest event goers, please make sure you bring your lawn chairs and know for-a-fact there NO Grass! We will literally have a great big movie screen outdoors in the desert in the dirt. This means you need to have your own creature comforts on-hand.
Camping is free to first-comers inside the event boundaries (in designated campsites only) on June 17th when all activities are happening. Event opens at noon! There is free camping on BLM land too if we fill up quick. There will be out houses.

After the main festivities on June 17th, on June 18th, there is a caravan planned to go to Area 51 for whomever wants to follow the festival founder, Nate Cowlishaw, out there. This is coordinated — meaning, the founder has invited you to follow him out to Area 51 and Rachel, Nevada, at your own risk & using your own resources.

Checkout time is 10 Am the next morning on June 18th. Caravan leaves at noon!

Major UPDATE for the Festival

June 19, 2015 By Nathan Arizona Leave a Comment

This is good and bad news; after networking today and reaching out to various organizations – We’ve decided to reschedule the first annual Utah UFO Festival for a later date to make sure it is a complete success in it’s first year. We’ve talked to both chapters of Arizona and Utah MUFON (Mutual UFO Network) whom have agreed to help us more on an organizational level after heeding their advice. The new preliminary date for the festival is going to be June of 2016. We wanted to get this news out sooner rather than later so our supporters are informed as early as possible.

Please leave your feedback or criticisms if you would like. We’ve got a thick skin and would like to know what you think…

Heading to the International UFO Congress

February 16, 2015 By Nathan Arizona Leave a Comment

UFO Congress by Open Minds TV

This morning, I’m getting ready to travel down to the International UFO Congress in Fountain Hills, Arizona, just shy North of Scottsdale. It will be a four day hosted event and I will be one of the event photographers. I’m pretty excited to be networking and meeting with people who study flying saucers and aliens and hop to capture some great photos for Open Minds TV.

George Knapp and Bob Lazar will be presenting as well, with a Q&A session. Bob is the man who allegedly brought the spot light to Area 51 and S-4 and George Knapp is an established investigative journalist out of Las Vegas whose maintained a neutral but favorable stance on the UFO Phenomena and even Bob Lazar’s claims that the government is back engineering ET saucer technology. Most recently, George co-authored a book about a remote ranch in Fort Duchesne; one of Utah’s most paranormal hotspots titled; “Hunt for the Skinwalker” which documents a ranching family’s encounters with strange orbs, UFOs, and alien beings on their newly acquired retreat over an 18 month period, after relocating from New Mexico. The news of these bizarre and spooky events hit national headlines which led to the book.

The evidence for these mysteries are numerous, from cattle mutilations, to lights in the sky on the Navajo Reservation in Northern Arizona. The UFO Phenomenon has long played an integral part of the history and folklore of the American Southwest. Why rule out the possibility that some of these anomalies may in fact be real? I have had my own experiences but I approach the topic from an optimistic approach. I tend to consider the pessimistic arguments about the phenomenon and try to overlook a lot of the negative. Yes, some people declare these alien visitors as hostile and evil. I tend to look the other way at all these evil humans. There could be several benevolent and malevolent entities visiting our Earth but there has to be a silver lining of good behind every dark cloud and what I’m searching for is the truth. Just as the fact that not every human is evil, so is reality of extraterrestrials. This is why I decided to start a festival in Utah, so we could begin discussing the possibilities and I’m on side of the argument approaches this phenomenon with enthusiasm instead of paranoia!

I hope upon my return from this journey that I’ll have some solid contacts for the Utah UFO Festival which is the reason I’m going on this journey and get some take some excellent photos for Open Minds! I’m grateful that they have given me this opportunity to do some photography for them.

UFO Crash Site Near Garrison, Utah

October 8, 2014 By Nathan Arizona 4 Comments

Garrison_UT_UFO

I’ve been researching a UFO crash site that allegedly happened near the small town of Garrison Utah. While digging around on the net for evidence, it’s hard to find a lot of info on the incident. As we seek the truth to our reality and existence, it’s good to keep an open mind and investigate any sort questionable historical event whether it be a rumor or a deeply buried secret. I think a lot of it has to rely on a hunch or intuition, if you have it. Trust your gut on these things because it is always good to keep your eyes peeled for clues. As citizen journalists, we need to tell stories and decimate interesting leads that may lead to further discovery.

There’s more information on the Utah Crash Site of 1953 (in Southwestern Utah) from a few sources:

1.) UFO Hunters of Utah: www.aliendave.com/UFOcrash_Utah1953.html

2.) Earth Files by NBC Investigative Journalist: Linda Lowe (requires subscription): earthfiles.com/

3.) KMZ File to Geographical Location of Site via Google Earth

First Meeting Coming Up!

October 8, 2014 By Nathan Arizona 1 Comment

Keeping track and on course for everything with these festival, we have our first bi-monthly meeting coming up and it’s informal and to the point. We want to get to the planning stages of events to happen for the fest. Everything naturally is coming together and people in Cedar City are pretty optimistic for the fest. I’ll be on the air with KSUB Talk Radio on Friday morning to talk about plans for the fest. We have a lot to do but there is no stress involved. I’m really excited to see everything coming to fruition and taking on a life of its own.

So we have the meeting scheduled for tomorrow:

“The 2015 Utah UFO Festival (happening in Cedar City next August) is having it’s first planning meeting at 340 E. DL Sargent Drive in Cedar City, Utah this Thursday, Oct 9th at 7PM! The meeting is open to the public & anyone who is interested in getting involved with Cedar City’s first UFO Festival.”

This is a chance to see the first step. I’m doing research on line looking for a plan of actions, and steps to take to get this thing off the ground. Good things are happening!
