So here is a list of speakers we have added to the Third Annual Utah UFO Fest not yet announced on the blog as of this update; newest starting from the top. We are honored to have them presenting at this years event. Be sure to check out the 2018 Speakers List – which is continually updating for more information on the Keynote Speaking lineup.

 

Phillip Meshekey – First Nations Story-Teller, Poet, Performer, Radio Host…

BIO: Phillip Meshekey, a Turtle Clan member, also known as “Joaquin Thunderbird” is from the Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa “indians” in northern Michigan of the greater Anishinaabek (Lowered down from the stars) Nation, and also Kanawake Kaniekehaka Mohawk (Wolf Clan) near Quebec Canada. A First Nations Story teller, Poet, Writer, Performer, Radio host, Naysayer, husband, and father. An ex student occupier, and spokesperson at Deganwidah Quetzalcoatl University in Davis California from 2007 to 2011. A former A.I.M. Member, and Native activist turned Artivist. Known to be very outspoken in holding Native leaders and entertainers accountable, and basically just stirring the pot in Indian Country. Phillip has Toured with the Dakota Nations late John Trudell, who was also mentor to Phillip, and shared the stage with likes of Neil Young, the Zionist backed Marley sons, Kris Kristopherson, Jefferson Airplane, India Arie, Toots and Maytals, Sizzla, Ub-40, Michael Franti, and blah blah blah. Phillip has left all that for a more simple life that doesn’t consist of having to sell out to the spirit stealers, and their agenda of controlling not only artists but humanity. Currently he is a youth mentor for two Native youth immersion groups based out of Sonoma and Mendocino counties in Northern California. He is still writing poetry, performing poetry, and speaking in Native communities.

He is in the process of independently releasing a coffee table book of poetry called “Rants of a deadbeat “Indian”, and starting a podcast called MeshekeyLeaks. He is not romanticized Chief in feathers coming to tell you what you want to hear, or is he your standard conspiracy theorist, or u.f.ologist. Phillip has had a hand full of experiences with his star ancestors called the Chinishinaabe who originally come here through the hole in the sky from region of the Plaeides constellation. He will tell a few traditional stories pertaining to not only his star ancestors herstory on Mother Earth, and around the universe, but their seeding of Great Lakes Native women, and creation of the now day Anishinaabek people; but also about the not so peaceful star beings who send their little bald grey robots to abduct us. These invaders also come ever so often to attempt to take us away from our principles, and mind control us with religion & technology. Native knowledge and experiences with star people aren’t very well known let alone cross referenced within the u.f.o community, and Phillip hopes to bring some new insight on a few subjects Native people see others possibly mis understanding. To bring some clarity from an indigenous renegade perspective. To likely dispel a few romanticized versions of stories which have fed the u.f.o community half truths. To introduce a “new” culture of star people to the Utah U.F.O Festival. Phillip will also be showing a photo he took of a Chinishinaabe Star ship which was taken 200 feet over his home in the Redwoods of Mendocino county. He will also tell a story if him and his cousin counting coup on the Bohemian grove.

Erica Lukes – Utah UFO Researcher

Bio: Erica Lukes is a UFO researcher and podcaster. She is the former state director for the Utah chapter of the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) and a MUFON field investigator. She is, currently, the head of Unexplained Utah , an organization which is focused upon scientifically researching UAP – otherwise known as Unidentified Aerial Phenomena, and team-leader on a research program called “Project Orange.” This project is specifically dedicated to studying sightings and clusters of orange/red orbs (which are also known as fireballs).

Both Utah’s famous Skinwalker Ranch and its surrounding areas have held a strong, and lasting, interest for Erica. She has collected decades’ worth of case reports from this area, and particularly so with regards to mass sightings of UFOs, as well as mysterious mutilations of animals, and alien abductions.

Erica is an artist, as well as an accomplished, recognized, professional singer. She has been the lead-vocalist for many of Utah’s top bands. She also performed at the 2002 Winter Olympics. In addition, Erica has taken part in voice-over productions, and she has worked in the fields of radio and television.

Erica has been a guest on numerous radio-based talk-shows, including The Richard Dolan Show; Ground Zero, with Clyde Lewis; Open Minds; Fringe Radio; The Martin Willis Show; Truth Theorem Radio; and the Paracast. Erica has also guest-hosted MUFON Radio.

Jim Mann and Stacey Wright – Arizona Mufon

BIOS: Jim Mann is the State Director for the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) in Arizona, as well as co-Director for Phoenix MUFON.

Stacey Wright is the Assistant State Director for Arizona MUFON, and the other half of the co-Directorship for Phoenix MUFON.

Jim and Stacey are certified Field Investigators for MUFON and working together for the past 10 years, have built the Phoenix MUFON chapter from ground up to become MUFON International’s 2017 Chapter Of The Year. During those 10 years, Phoenix MUFON has hosted world-renowned, high-caliber researchers and speakers from around the globe. Jim and Stacey are often invited as guest lecturers in the Phoenix area, speaking on the ufo topic to college classes, service organizations, and city libraries. They have been team leaders on Roswell archaeological Digs, have designed and produced the Phoenix Lights exhibit for the Arizona Historical Society Museum, and have participated in numerous ufo-related filming productions, as well as radio talk shows.

The “Jim & Stacey” team enjoys working with MUFON in setting the foundation for public education of the ufo phenomenon, and promoting research for those seeking answers to that ancient question: “Are we alone in the universe?”

This is Nathan Cowlishaw, Founder of the Utah UFO Festival. The 2018 event is quickly approaching which is our third year! We’ve been on the hunt for our chief Sponsorship aka the Title Sponsor but we have not yet been successful in finding a company willing to step up to the plate, yet. However, Sunshine Foods out of Cedar City, Utah has stepped up to become our first sponsor for the 2018 season! We want to thank Jill, owner of Sunshine Foods in Cedar City, Utah for offering $500 dollars towards the event which will help to get the ball rolling. Every bit counts! We will use the money to reserve Main Street Park in Cedar City, Utah. The Utah UFO Fest is happening on Memorial Day Weekend.

Now all we need is someone to help up organize an alien costume contest for people and their pets!?

Every year the going price for the title sponsorship representing the Utah UFO Festival is going to go up. We are still a relatively new fest but we aren’t going away. Last year, Tinks Superior Auto Parts became our presenting sponsor. We appreciate the support that their crew gave to the festival especially with passing out and distributing posters all over Southern Utah! Some of our critics need to come over to our side and join forces with us because this is a fun event! There’s no reason for lame opposition to something fun!? Just because you don’t believe in ET or Flying Saucers visiting Earth doesn’t mean you can’t open your mind a little or dress up in a green alien costume! There’s nothing wrong with having fun and being tolerant of other people and their enthusiasm for extraterrestrial life.  We are celebrating the pop culture surrounding such folklore, research and dialogue! This is what the Utah UFO Festival is all about.

So this is a “Call to Action” for any business willing to help us get this fest off the ground for a third year straight. With 23 business sponsors in Cedar City, alone, the community proved to Anomaly Conservatory that they want to see this festival grow and thrive.

Our goal is to build this event into a music fest, a film fest, an art show, where we bring UFO researchers, and attract those that celebrate the pop culture surrounding the folklore of Extraterrestrial Life visiting the Earth in Americana. What an awesome question; “Are we alone in the universe?”

With the festival – were are in the prime location. We want to promote Southern Utah’s dark skies and astronomy. We are the hub of the National Parks right on the cleft of Canyon Country and best of all, we are the eastern ‘portal’ to the super secretive Area 51!

So let’s get the ball rolling – we are burning daylight!

The 2018 Utah UFO Fest is scheduled for May 25th and 26th on Memorial Day Weekend in Downtown Main Street Park in Cedar City, Utah. Our current line up for this next year is filmmaker, Jeremy Kenyon Lockyer Corbell, Stacey Wright and Jim Mann from Phoenix Mufon, Erica Lukes and more which is developing in the pipeline and will be announced soon.
